KARLA

I was visiting one of my favorite fashion bloggers site, and was happy to see that she was apart of the blogger series for Coach. Her style is SICK, and this opportunity is well deserved for her. Teen Vogue arrived in my home today, and they were all featured as well. I am crushing on a few of these myself.

Great job ladies!

Jeans and a Cute Top

I posted a few weeks back that I was here for fashion help. Well Nerd Girl reached out to me. Read her email below.

BREAKDOWN

I love all three tops.

The first one is from Urbanoutfitters and says summer romance to me. Its girly, yet very versatile. As seen here with shorts, or vision them with a cropped legging, or dark skinny jean. I would top it off with simple hoops, or studs. NO necklace. I may have to get this myself because I love it the longer I look at it.

The second one is from J Crew. This shirt comes in a variety of colors, but your neutral shoe will blend with most of these anyway depending on the look your after. I would pair it with jeans, and a skinny belt. Any cut jean could work. Boot, straight or skinny. Since the neck is so busy, NO necklace, and I would wear my diamond studs. And add a clutch for a sassy touch to the whole look.

The third one is from Revolve Clothing. I would never pay this much for a top, but they do usually offer great coupons. That shirt to me is BAD ASS. It says urban disco hip chick. The shirt has so much going on, and a clean simple skinny jean would make a woman stand out and be seen.  I am so sure there are originals like these in the thrift stores, and on Etsy just waiting to crank up someone's style at a reasonable price.

I hope this helps!

Lofty

I realized I had not shared my sons room since I had his floors stained. Last night he cleaned it up, came to get me, held me by the hand and covered my eyes, and told me not to open until he said so. Funny how kids like to SURPRISE their parents with a clean room.

loft1 I am still hanging things, putting the finishing touches on this newly stained desk. Well not so new, I just forgot to post it. Sorry folks!

He is a TOTAL athlete as I have posted about on here before, so his room has to incorporate his love of sports, and games. But also the colors had to be BOY easy if you know what I mean, and something I could change up if need be for him. I am realistic when it comes to my kids rooms. I still let them be kids, and not try to take over 100% with a vision that I have.

IKEA Panels worked great. I ironed the creases.  The panels go great with the linen ottoman placed on the side of the bed.

I changed out the plates just to give it that “lofty industrial feel”

Below are the frames I found on clearance at Target for dirt cheap. They will be perfect on this wall once I have some action shots of him blown up to super size, as well as mount a TV to the wall. It should all flow is the way I vision it.

Things to finish off the space:

  • light fixture
  • flat screen
  • photos in huge frames
  • new rug (he messed it up last week)
  • proper organization of his items
  • desk organization
  • lamp

Sweet

All I can say is I hope you have a Nothing bundt Cakes in your area. Someone came to the office the other day with these bit size pieces of heaven. I was in love with the LEMON flavor at HELLO! I have NEVER (sorry Granny) had a piece of cake so MOIST before in my life. I hate when I fall for food. As I type this, I have a piece of cake next to me (damnit). Anyway…my baby loved the cake, and so did the family.  Followed by cake, she got some PINKBERRY for the first time and yummo! But check out the photos of this great shop and see if one is near you!
