HG's new fashion blog, where she will blog about fashion, beauty and all girly things. And yes, she will continue to self-debate endlessly on whether to buy All ..
Meet Montanna Mitchem. Blogger of Grupie Luv. Let’s see what she’s baggin
What: Coach Legacy Tote
Age: 2 yrs or so...
Contents: My Louie Clutch- I like to put easy access items in here (credit cards, ID, car keys, cell..) this goes with me in every purse.. (the green thing came off my 3yr olds backpack and she stuck it inside)
Japanese Cherry Blossom Fragrance Mist- I luv the fresh scent
M..A.C Bronzing Powder- Makes me look super hot. I really like the glow it gives.
Wild and Crazy Glitter Nail Polish- I am super obsessive with talking with my hands so since folks see them the most I feel like its only right to make them look decent.
Vaseline Dry Skin Lotion- Its so not cool to have ashy elbow, hands or ankles!!!
M.A.C Viva Glam VI LipGlass- I luv the shine
Sprint Google Moment- I like it but honestly I kind of wished I waited a day longer and got the EVO. Its the next best thing next to an Iphone.
Mini Spiral- Gotta lot on the brain, if its important I have learned to jot it down.
HP Mini Laptop- I'm getting in the habit of taking it with me so I can do more blogging on the go.
Why? This was a birthday gift from my hubby. That year I went Legacy Crazy. I bought the bracelet, pony tail holder, and wedges. I thought it was sweet that he was adding to my collection. I luv this purse because its good to get things in and out without a whole lot of digging. And isn't it great when your purse is the only accessory you need? The colors go with everything!
Thanks for sharing Montanna!
If you want to be considered for baggin please email me here.

*note: these are done every Friday at this time*
For starters.
There were signs.
1.) someone basically left me hanging like sheets on a clothes line early on
2.) this was just to last minute
3.) hotels were sickly costly
4.) the staff basically told me I might be SOL if I arrived after 1pm coming from Dallas
5.) the actions and attitude of Nate’s staff prior to the show
Did I say I was excited about going? Did I post a video about being excited, and thanking Nate and the staff? But why? Total disappointment. I left my family, and spent money on a trip to NY at the last minute which wasn't cheap for a “DESIGN BLOGGER DAY”, and there was not even a mention of the word BLOGGER on the show. Emily Henderson (a blogger herself) the winner of Design Star on HGTV was there, and so was my favorite designer Christian Siriano from Project Runway. Yea, Nate is cute as he wants to be in person. And seems rather nice, but his staff totally dropped the ball ALL THE WAY AROUND on this. You would have thought we would have been able to take a photo with him, or a handshake exit. Nothing. Oh, he did do a Q & A with with us after the show which went well, but had I known those were the plans of the producers, I would not have made the choice to go.
I have been a major supporter of Nate’s. Even buying his items from HSN for my home. We or let me say I wasn’t expecting a car, or a trip to Australia, just a good time and at least ACKNOWLEDGEMENT that it was DESIGN BLOGGER DAY, which clearly it was not!
The show in my opinion needs a huge change and fast. I understand its new, but something has got to give…Oprah backing or not. Bloggers gave Nate basically free advertisement for #nateday, and what did we get? A gift card to payless, scarf, an ask for ideas, and a hurry and leave please. Think about how awesome the show could have been. What were those producers thinking? Then Nate tells us he doesn't read blogs. Excuse? What chu say Willis? He said he has a team that does that, and they inform him of the good stuff basically. All the while I am thinking of what I could have done with the money I spent on this trip, and my kids..are they hungry? Did everyone make it to and from school on time? All those thoughts caught up with me again once I was alone in my hotel room in Jersey. I am just so disappointed, and better not make a video post on this because the shit would hit the fan. As the old song goes. Experience is a good teacher.
But on a lighter note. The best part was meeting all the fabulous bloggers that keep us entertained on a daily basis. Talk about a group of stylish beauties and gents in one place. I was able to hit up the after party hosted by Camila and The Nest which was great! If only I had not been drained, and tired from catching a 5:45am flight. Which means I got up at 3:30am, or did I go to bed at all Monday night. Anyway. I would have loved to hang all night with them. There was a design challenge that I even declined because my head was mush. The one thing I am happy about is that all the ladies that I met were just as nice as could be. Had they not, this would be a rant. So way to go CHICA’s. And before I forget, the hype lady Dena was the best! Check her out here.
So to just to be clear. My love for Nate Berkus and his talent, has not changed. I think he is totally talented, but needs to make that connection with the people. All roads lead to his staff, and the lack of creative thought needed to really make the show stand out. In simple words from a Texas girl…as we say: “You just don’t do people like that man, and get away with it.” But there was a tweet from him yesterday.
Your damn right. And that’s putting it mildly.
A special thanks to Kwana for being a great friend. I don’t know what I would have done had she not helped me along with way.
P.S. I have read other posts where some people were okay with the show, and others not so. But as always, I do me. And to be clear again in case someone missed this I will paste it here again:
We or let me say I wasn’t expecting a car, or a trip to Australia, just a good time and at least ACKNOWLEDGEMENT that it was DESIGN BLOGGER DAY, which clearly it was not as defined in some of our minds!
If I lived in NY, I probably would not feel this way. But the fact that a lot went into this for Tamara, makes my opinion mine.
I am on TWITTER. FOLLOW PEEPS!
ALL DONE.
and ready to carry on.

Hey my lovelies. As you read this post, I will be in route to NY for the show, and blogger party. Let me first say that, this was a hard step for me. I was so excited about going initially, and then here comes a bump, and another bump..and finally Tamara gets sad and doesn't want to leave her family. I am a cry baby, and yeah I love them, and have never stayed away from them for even a night. NY is a HUGE place, super fast..and I just wish hubby were going with me. I usually have my kids, and his big arms to squeeze during the landing of a plane. But this time, I will squeeze my eyes tight. I hope all of this turns out to be what I hope it to be. Trust me when I say. I will be giving a full report THROUGH MY EYES on GIGS. Oh, did I tell you that I won something big? Well look…
Thank you to Shay @ IBB Designs.
Hells yeah, you read that right. OVER 100 comments! When my man slept, I entered and entered…and well entered. I found out I won on Friday while we were at Six Flags for family day. I pulled it up on my phone, and screamed. My hubby thought something was wrong or, I got bad news. No sugar something is right, and I thanked God for another blessing. There is a bigger story behind why I wanted the ipad so badly, but will reserve that story for another day…as I am teary enough.
If only you could see the look on my face. I picked it up yesterday, and played with it a little bit. I am sure with all the plane riding, I will have even more time to play.
See yall soon. In the meantime. Check out Rue magazine. It is a new online magazine that to me represents the best in style, and home decor in “print” right now. Over 250 pages of page turning goodness, that only keeps you wanting more. TRUST ME. Just look below.

I should have said when a girl loves her damn boots. These boots are me and my husband all over. The Elation Boot is us from the bottom to the top. I would rock these bad boys with these pants, just as pictured. MESSY. It was late, and photographers were asleep. Had they not been, I think I would have went out on location for these boots. I care for the design just that much. If I were doing a skirt, I would wear a sock that peeps above, and tie them tight. The options are endless. Go for something edgy, and unexpected—you will love it. Nine West’s Boutique 9 went above and beyond on these. So here they are NineWest_Fred!
